This Sunday is often called “GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY.” This means that the MISSION of Jesus continues beyond his resurrection. He is the GATE, the one through whom we enter the Kingdom, He is the SHEPHERD, the one who leads the flock to the green pastures of life, He is the VOICE that resonates with special vibrancy in the hearts of those who repent and receive baptism. Through the ministry of the Church, HE remains alive to guide and protect us.

We can no longer remain cold, indifferent or undecided. “God has made Him LORD and CHRIST the ONE WE CRUCIFIED. By his wounds, we have been healed.” The time has come for us to “Save ourselves from this corrupt generation” and open our hearts to the “Promise of the Holy Spirit.” After all, it is for us that the promise has been made!

During this Easter season, may all who call themselves Catholics accept true conversion! Let them stop living in fake marriages, be faithful to Sunday mass, assume a ministry within their parish and show active concerns for those who suffer! May the radiance of Jesus’ Love be reflected in their deeds! May goodness and kindness follow them all the days of their lives!  Let us live in the glow of the Risen Lord allowing Jesus to be the Good Shepherd of our lives.
